I reserved a space at the Whitney Portal campground. I have a cab over camper with a small built-in refrigerator. Am I allowed to keep any food in my refrigerator or must I place all food and stuff that smells like food in the bear boxes? Thanks.

Be safe, use the lockers. At the campground, pictures are posted of what can happen to your camper.

Bring a cooler to put your food stuff in and put that in the bear box, they are big and hold lots.I was there last week and heard bears trying to get into the boxes, they wil try to get anything with a scent.Dont take any chances!

Be sure to label your cooler with your name, date, and when you plan on returning. This should help with it not being accidentally thrown out.
