How difficult is the hitch from Onion Valley to Independence and then back? I'll be trying sometime pretty close to June 20th. Hopefully I can time it to a weekend, but I'm not sure.

if you smell too bad they may throw you in the back of the truck on the way down. If you are hiking with a pit bull; you may have difficulty getting a ride. OV is one of the easiest trailheads to hitch up and down from town too - unless you arrival/departures are beyond daylight hours.

Good news. I've always wanted to hitch in the back of a truck, so I guess this is my opportunity.
