Mt. Whitney Portal Store & Hostel Forums General Mt. Whitney Portal Store Message Board Memorial Weekend: Who will be there?

Just curious as to how many board members here will be up at the Portal over Memorial Weekend and what do you plan on doing?.

As for me, I’ll be arriving Thursday, May 22 and leaving Tuesday, May 27. I hope to take a hike each day….. LBSL, Kearsarge Pass, Cottonwood Lakes and Meyson Lakes. These hikes will just be leisurely hikes…. Not difficult or strenuous since I have been a couch potato since last years message board group hike. Plus I developed a stress fracture on my right foot, probably from running. So, I’ll be taking it easy.

if we could id like to stay at cotton wood lake#3 [not too sure]
this will be my first trip to the mt.whitney area and ireally look forward to our experience.

I'll be around the area, flying in that Friday night. We'll be staying up north most of the time, perhaps by the Portal on Tuesday.

I will be there with 2 others from 5/23 until at least 5/25. We plan to go up the Mountaineer's Route, weather permitting.
