Great job dick. Yeah the food thing. I am like you I get where I can't stand the sugary snacks ie. gummy bears, shot blocks and goo. I found those peanut butter cracker worked well as a snack at Trail Crest when food doesn't look good. It is a must to force down some food or face the inevitable bonk.

So it was very exciting to meet in person for the first time a person who after two years of experience had accomplished more hiking than most acquire in a lifetime. She certainly did not disappoint us with her discussions and information and encouragement. Truly, she is amazing and I am sure she will make a very positive impact on the hiking community in the area for many years to come; also, she is a very accomplished photographer, who has a wonderful storehouse of prime photos of the area, mountains and climbing experiences.

Dick, you are TOO kind! It was wonderful to finally meet you and the gang after corresponding all these months. Miraculous? Well, I dunno, but it has been a life-changing few years for sure!

Wonderful trip report (now I just have to show you how to link the pics, as YOU have some amazing work to show off, too!!), and congratulations to you and the gang on a great day!

Hope to see you on the mountain soon!

Will I be back? You bet… I think Howard is already starting to recruit hikers for next year.

Dick, it's great to see such enthusiasm for a return hike to the summit. Some might say "never again".
