As we come up on the 'season closer' of Labor Day (that's not fair, it went WAY to quickly!), I want to wish everyone safe travels and good times on the holiday weekend. Whatever you end up doing, make sure to have some fun! (Thanks, Jack and Betsy for the link!!) Climb Hard. Be Safe. -L

What are you talking about? It's just approaching "my season."

Winter wonderland. Relatively few people. No permit issues. (I've never been denied in the off-season.) Some more of you should join in on the real fun.

cute video! My holiday weekend will be spent preparing for next weekend laugh Illilouette ridge to Mt. Star King to Half Dome.

I'll be glad for some cooler weather - and fewer crowds!

Have a great holiday weekend everyone! And if you see a group of about 4 guys doing MT tomorrow, give them some encouragement for me (first time summit for them), co-workers of mine.

Cool video. Its hard to believe with all that frolicking they never stepped on, knocked over, or broke the sprinkler.

OMG, that was the best! I can't wait to meet you someday Laura. My heart is just aching to get back to Whitney. Maybe next year. Thanks for the show.

Great video Laura... thanks for sharing it. I'm wondering where it was shot.

I just got out of the backcountry yesterday (Palisades from Bishop Pass). It sprinkled on us off and on as we made our way to the South Lake roadhead. As we pulled away it really opened up and began raining pretty hard. There was a chill in the air that I felt for the first time all summer. The temperature is supposed to drop significantly. It may snow in the high country too.

Be prepared out there everybody and have a great time!
