Hi All,

Does anyone know of a place where you can stow some extra unnecessary gear where it will be locked up and safe? Somewhere in town? Lockers? Train station?

I've been in the Sierras for more than a week and I have some extra gear that I needed for Mammoth that I don't need for Mt. Whitney.

Thanks,

Don

There is a small chamber of commerce office on main street that will store your gear. They are only staffed during normal working hours but said they would come out on a weekend if needed. They charge no fee but made it clear that a donation to the agency in the range of 20 bucks would be appropriate.
