Looks like conditions are gonna take a LOT of snow before the skiing is remotely OK...

We're going regardless of whether we get new snow or not. Here are pics from last February: Mt. Baldy February 8, 2008

Ummm don't they have a ski lift??? Just kidding. Looked at Kurts pics of last years and noticed Laura not carrying any skis but the guy behind her is carrying two sets. Uh what's up with that? Did Laura do some "poor lil ole me,this is sooo heavy" stuff?

Yeah, that's EXACTLY what I did. Cuz, you know, that's what I do. smirk WatEVAH would I do without all you big strong men around???

I didn't have skis last year, my dear. I stopped half way down my glissade to laugh hysterically with pure happiness!

I was going to go with "Duct, Duct, Duct... I love duct." Then I realized you might not be talking about tape.

I assume that there will be both duct and scotch next Friday.

Alan... for you, anything, dahlink...

I think Eric needs a day off of school, too. I'd just LOVE to see how slow I can be behind him...

I'll head to ACE today and pic up a new roll just for you.

He might agree about school, but it is impossible to get him to skip running once track season has started, which is has. I did get him to accompany me to Kurt's last West LA show, though.

Baldy's looking pretty dry right now. The storms didn't drop much snow, and it's been warm. The Santa Anas will melt quite a bit more in the next couple days.

I'll be ice climbing in Ouray next Friday, so I'll miss out on the fun. Given where I'll be and what I'll be doing, I can't say I'm too terribly sorry, though. cool

Hey, it's not often that a guy stuck in the SoCal megalopolis has a chance to make the girl livin' the dream in B-town jealous. I think I'm gonna bask in it a while laugh

A group of us (6-8?) from Riverside are spinning this as "date night" on February 5 at Costa Mesa and then some will jump in on the Baldy hike the next day.
