Hello everyone,
Being a Health and Science teacher (albeit Special Ed), I thought some of you might find this interesting.
I just read an article in the MSN Health and Fitness that said that Clif Bar & Company of Berkeley, Ca. are recalling their peanut butter Clif and Luna bars. It has to do with the ongoing salmonella probes. There's a list of other companies that are recalling their product(s) in the article.
Also, if you eat peanut butter crackers Kellog of Battle Creek, Michigan had a package of their recalled peanut butter crackers test positive for salmonella.
So far the official toll in 43 states and Canada stands at 470 people sickened, and six deaths linked to salmonella poisoning.
I'll leave the url, but it's long and doesn't link up. Here it is. If you want to read the article, just type the url.

Hope this enlightens some of you that eat Clif or Luna peanut butter products,

I checked last night that I bought a club pack at Costco in that date range (posted on the Clif Bar site). Today I received a voice mail from Costco noting the recall.

Yahoo! I always love Girl Scout cookies. I need to find a Girl Scout selling them smile

I'll be at the outdoor industry winter trade show soon. I'll try stop in and ask someone at Clif how that's going.

Actually Clif Bar has had a lot of hits on their site. The new splash page has the list of items that are included in the recall. Yesterday they had a link to it on their home page; now it is a splash page.
