Thank you to all involved for the crisp clear focus! My eyes are happy again!

Ah to be there right now traipsing through the fresh fallen snow and then eating some fries and a burger at the Portal Store...

Alas, me stuck on the Western side. Tioga Pass closed, Sonora probably, too.

ARG! cry

Beeeee-utiful

Avoiding danger is no safer in the long run than outright exposure. Life is either a daring adventure, or nothing.

Well, Doug, you did something. Guess all of that Coast Guard training paid off! grin

We are all happy.

The track of the group hike of Thor is visible on the webcam this morning. Easier to see if you click on the large size pic.

This is what the track looked like from the "sweep" position on Saturday afternoon.

(I was about to post the same thing, and now have a saved copy of the original size webcam photo.)

Richard, looking at Joel Baldwin's archive, it looks like the pictures from about 7:30 AM have the best lighting. Which pic did you grab? Maybe we can zoom in on the track and display it.

Thanks Richard. Here it is, from the 10/19/2009 8:07 AM picture.

That's a cool track. So if we had been watching from the Hostel, we might have been able to catch the "train" going up on Saturday.

When I get a little money, I buy books; and if any is left I buy food and clothes.

Wow! That bird's wingspan must be over 1000 feet! It goes all the way from Whitney to the needles! I'd hate to be hit by its poop smile
