I am planning a backpack trip from Tuolomne meadows in Yosemite to reds meadow in Mammoth via John Muir Trail and would like to know if there is someone that knows if there is a shuttle service (private or public) from Reds Meadow to Tuolomne Meadow?

take the bus - there's a shuttle from Reds Meadows to the Ski Station (dunno about ski station to town service, but I saw busses with mountain bike trailers go up and down that road last summer) and there's a bus from Mammoth to Yosemite

Did that trip in 2007. At that time, YARTS bus went right up to the Mammoth Mountain Inn (where the Reds shuttles drop off) at 7:30 AM. I had stayed at the Inn the night before.
Hopefully they still do that. Makes it very easy. That is one beautiful hike.
