me and my buddy where thinking of doing Split Mtn from Red Lake, then going up St Jean's Couloir.
we were aiming for early june, knowing there will still be a good amount of snow in the couloir.
it would be at least 2 nights, probably camped at red lake
I was wondering about the north side of the mountain, and if there would be any trouble from the top of the couloir at the crest to the top since we head due south on the last 400 feet.
then we were thinking about going down the north face.
we have crampo's and axes and are experienced with snow mountaineering, just not with the 25 ft ice falls we would encounter in the east couloir, thats why i chose St Jean's
thanx you
