Since I'm currently unemployed I am available to hike Whitney most weekdays and some weekends. I am looking to tag along with a group or individual. I would prefere to spend at least one to two nights on the mountain. I would also be interested in other southern California/Eastern Sierra hikes.
I am 50 and in excellent shape and have all my own equipment and would be very self sufficient. I can maintain any pace you set. I have been in the Whitney zone twice before and am a frequent message board reader for the past two years. It would be great to carpool from the OC or LA area if possible.
Since I am married and have two kids their schedule comes first, but I am otherwise open for most of the summer.
Not to hijack the thread or anything - but I will gladly jump on a dayhike on a Tue, Wed or Thur starting in July. Can go medium to slow speeds. Will do light sherpa work for cookies. Just LMK
