i am not concerned but i am sure interested in this weather pattern we've been having about the last month.
its been thunderstorming every single day, and this usually never happens in may-early june.
i have my trip planned to start the 21st(sunday after this one) and it seems that i should bring my skis.

my buddies and i will start at the little Kern river in the western part of the Golden Trout Wilderness and head north to Farewell Gap, then over Franklin Pass to The Big Kern. after that we'll trudge our way to Forester Pass, eta probably june 25. and theres gonna be enough snow to glissade down the whole thing!
we'll follow the JMT and Sierra High Route to Tuolumne Meadows and hopefully arrive July 15. our food drops will be at Onion Valley, Parchers Resort and Mammoth Lakes
it sucks cause the edible swamp onions(what i eat with my trout) probably wont even have their buds on them until the latter half of the trip
glen pass will probably be super sketchy and i dont even want to think about how much snow will be at muir pass.
no matter how much snow and lightning there will be, it will be a life-changing experience for a buncha newly high school graduates! yay
