xcorat Member Joined: Jun 2009 Posts: 5 Canoga Park, CA	I went on the New Army Pass on June 10th, there was a little snow on the trail, I am wondering how is the Army pass, is it doable w/o crampons (i might get an ice axe..)????

KevinR Member Joined: May 2007 Posts: 585 Manchester, NH	Below is a picture of Old Army Pass taken on 6.7.09. There were cornices with large overhangs as well as the two chutes to the right of the pass.

Neew army pass had a small section without snow which I climbed through rocks.
