Does anyone know what we should do with an extra permit? Do we wait until we pick them up at the ranger station?

If you have an extra permit that you know you do not need any more, the best thing to do is to call the Ranger Station in Lone Pine to relinquish the permit. This makes it available to someone else that is looking for a permit. Whitney Mike

You are supposed to call the Wilderness Permit Office in Bishop. You can find the number in the Wilderness Permit Options, but Dean already posted it.
