There was a great post from Late June for this area. Has anybody been to Army and new Army Pass in the past few days. Are crampons or ice axe still needed for old Army Pass? Any help would be appreciated

I was on New Army yesterday. There are two ways up, both very tame. The 25' straight up:

And I kicked new steps up around the right side of the block which my 8-year-old enjoyed:


We didn't really look at Old Army, but it should be about the same (just a tad steeper).
