... cool spot to spend a little extra time on, or not far from, the JMT between Vidette Meadows and Whitney, would it be:

• Center Basin
• Wrights Lakes
• Wallace/Wales lakes
• Crabtree Lakes
• Kern River headwaters, Lake South America, etc.

In a perfect world, I'd explore them all, but we have only six days from OV to the Portal. Thanks for sharing your thoughts... any other itinerary suggestions are also welcome!

If fishing, Lower Crabtree can be excellent...

Call it a draw. You cannot make a bad decision using your list. Do one per year and you'll have extra incentive to return.
