Howdy folks. I am planning on climbing Independence Peak via the West Face on Saturday and University Peak via the North Face on Sunday. Let me know if you have any current beta on these routes. Also, PM or email me if you are interested in coming along.

Sam, the north face on University is mostly class 2 and 3, but there is a section of 4/5 near the top, which is usually done unroped. Then there are some delicate moves on the traverse over to the summit. With the current snow, you'll find it "interesting." Picture from last Sunday below.

The approach from Robinson Lake is much easier, although you still have to do the traverse.

Wow, Bob, thank you.

Can you, or anyone else, provide guidance about finding the actual summit of University Peak? I've read a few accounts of people struggling to find it.

Well, I managed to climb the West Face of Independence Peak on Saturday and the North Couloir (by mistake) of University Peak on Sunday. Here is the trip report.

Sam looks like I am not the only one who can't sleep and purusing the board.Nice but tough looking TR.Wind and icy conditions seem to be the current conditions.
