Three Dicks Minus One Will Do Mexico...

This is what Orizaba looks like the year:

"The Bear" will be taking care of us this year.

Only a few more days... getting excited.

Wow the post is back---memories--

Are you guys heading down there again? I had to plan another big trip since last year was so much fun--leaving for Ecuador in December.

A bit less creature comforts this time though:)

Rick Graham and I are going for La Malinche, Izta and Orizaba this year. We leave on the sixth.

I've been thinking about you... I doubt I'll be able to convince my employer to let me take six weeks off next Autumn to go to Nepal... I was thinking that your trips might be an acceptable alternative.

I'm sure you'll enjoy the experiences.

Richard,

Nepal sounds great--my Himalaya trip is cited for 2012. Next year I am thinking of climbing the mountain that is not on your list laugh

Hopefully in Ecuador we will summit Chimborazo, a few 1000 feet above Orizaba. After doing Orizaba what's a few 1000 more feet--right? (special note: so no one gets in an uproar over that comment--it was intended as a joke as I understand each step higher exasperates the effort)

Have a great time down there and tell the Reyes family hi!

Had to bring this back! 2 years in a row Richard has had good luck with weather so being an old baseball player I'm superstitious. Here's hoping and praying for good weather. also thought the WPSMB Gang going down to Mexico would enjoy looking at this thread again....

Mike had to change plans...
M.C. had to change plans...
Shin had to change plans...
and now, sadly, Doug has had to change plans...

I hope that once things work themselves out, we'll be able to put something together for '12...

BTW, there is another excellent thread on Orizaba by KW...
