Kurt has a key. Usually in this type of climb/weather some people might turn around after warming up in the hut on Friday and some will continue on. As of right now here's NOAA weather forecast:

Friday: A 50 percent chance of snow. Cloudy, with a high near 39. West southwest wind between 11 and 17 mph, with gusts as high as 24 mph. New snow accumulation of 2 to 4 inches possible.

Yeah it looks like we may get a little precipitation tomorrow. It'll be a great day. I'm looking forward to seeing you all bright and early at 6 AM at the parking lot. Bring your clothing layers and come ready for a great day. See you soon!

Thanks everybody for coming out for a very fun day. That was fun summiting Baldy and navigating by compass in a white out on the descent. Here are a couple pictures. The rest are here.

Group at the beginning of the day.

Hi Kurt,
Thank you again for taking us to another great hike at Mt. Baldy.
I really enjoyed every minutes of it. This hike was one of the most memorable hike ever in Mt. Baldy in the worst weather condition. I learned something new every time I hike with you.
You are truly a great leader. You kept us safe in entire hike from door to door and made us to feel safe and comfortable to deal such a bad weather.

Have a safe trip to Africa and hope to hike with you.

Thanks again.

Shin
PS. I posted the photos at the WPSMB photo link.
Thank you for all hiking members and see you soon.

Hi Richard ,
I tried to send you a private message but it failed as it said you were " over the limit for messages " .
Perhaps you might contact me by email ? I had a question about your photos .

cheers ,

Hello Everyone from yesterdays Baldy snow climb !!!!

This was my first climb with most of you and it was well worth the time and effort involved. It was great to finally put some faces to the names I see and hear posted from time to time.

This was truly a group effort, especially in the weather we encountered.

Kurt, you did an outstanding job and displayed sound leadership and common sense ethics throughout the day. You certainly know your trade and passion.

Once again Thanks for the invitation and I certainly look forward to any upcoming climbs with (all of) you.

What a fantastic day! Kurt, ditto what Shin and others have said, you are a terrific leader. A great group of people. Can't wait for the next adventure. Some photos from yesterday. More photos here.

It looks like a great crew! Kurt's hikes are always great. I'm sorry I had to miss it. "The worst day in the mountains is better than the best day at work." I was at work. Of course, Kurt may not understand the sentiment, since he works in the mountains. cool
