This past Sunday, Ryan G. and I started up the East Ridge of Mt. Williamson. I gambled and left my snowshoes in the car. Was it a successful winter ascent of Mt. Williamson? You be the judge. Enjoy!

Good decisions make for a successful winter ascent. Looks like a great time. See you tomorrow...

I will also be surprised if anybody gets up Williamson. The snow drifts were waist deep in spots (on snowshoes!) and I wasn't even high on the mountain yet.

This from an e-mail to GigaMike on Saturday evening while I was nursing my sore body after stopping 3000+ feet below the summit of Mt. Whitney.

My climb was a fun one, as I'm sure yours was too.

Nice report.
