I know this is way off topic, but, I'm in Afghanistan and have not had any luck getting in to my email and wonder if someone in the 559 area code would be willing to give my mom a call just to tell her I'm OK and Merry Christmas.Her name is Mary and the number is 559-708-8034 this is a cell and she doesn't retreive messages, so if you don't get a person, don't bother with a message. If someone in the 775 code could do the same with a friend named Donna that would all be very cool her number is 775-846-3651

I am a "five five niner" and couldn't help but get invovled. Duty calls again!

I spoke with your mother this morning (12-23-09) at around 0720 PT.

She was a little apprehensive at first when we talked like "who in the H**L is this?" I told her my name and she said "I don't know anyone by that name." I asked her if she knew a "mazman" then, duh, I told her your name.

Anyhow, I told her you posted a message and was having problems accessing emails. I read to her the message you posted.

I told her I work in Fresno and I live in Coarsegold.

From the sound of her voice, she is a remarkable woman. Hope I didn't rattle her too much with my phone call from a total stranger.

Be safe out there and God's speed on your safe return. If any of your fighting hole buddies is having the same problem contacting a loved one here in CONUS (especially in the 559 area), you may "fire when ready" and "fire for effect." We are all here to help.
