Anyone know of anyone offering shuttle services from Whitney Portal to Sequoia? ..and costs if available.

not going to be cheap

When are you going? I may be pursuaded to make a trip around to climb.

Public transportation is a convenient, cheap way to go if your schedule works out. Here's a thread from a past post http://www.whitneyportalstore.com/forum/...=true#Post70775

We did the High Sierra trail a couple years ago and hired a shuttle service out of Bishop. Be forewarned it takes most of the day to do the shuttle. They picked us up at the Portal at 7 AM and we arrived in Sequoia about 20 minutes after the official permit office closing time. Luckily the ranger was there and we got the permit because we did not have an extra night's food with us.

Long story short, we started hiking around 5 PM and only made it to Merton Creek about 5 miles in the first night.
