Hello Everyone,

I am planning to climb the Mountaineer's Route in July and have spent all night looking for threads with route descriptions and photos so that I could familiarize myself with the route.

I have encountered two problems. First, I can't seem to pull up any relevant threads by using the search mechanism. My search results are limited to 8 pages and the results typically don't match what I am looking for. I have tried numerous different queries but... don't seem to be getting anywhere.

Additionally, when I do find a thread that seems to have what I am looking for the links to the photos seems to be broken.

For example take a look at the following thread:

I really wanted to see Bob R's pictures of the chute and the ledges but... the links are broken. I have had the same problem on other threads.

So I am wondering if anyone can point me to any threads that maybe they have book marked that provide images and descriptions of the route.

Alternatively any tips on how to use the forum's search mechanism would also be appreciated.

Thanks so much for this post! The fact that the thread was posted in 2004 might explain why I couldn't find it in search. The search tool only goes back 5 years.
