Yeah, Is that cook that won't "tell you where the bathroom is" still there?

Doug, Who's the crew at the store this year? Also, is marmot on the menu this year? Will it ever be on the menu? I made a Pika Pocket last year. Just yummy.--- John

Jeff, Laura, wagga: people, the photo's about the burger/fries, not the peripheral beer! It's not like I had a lotta choice outta the WPS cooler - I had just come down from a death march and I wanted carbs, protein and alcohol - not necessarily in that order. Beer-snobbery was not at the top of my agenda at the time . . .
Also, you'll note no lime for the Corona. I manned up and drank it straight.

There was a nice mention in today's LA Times Travel section cover story.
"We trudged the final seven miles and headed for the world's best hand-cut French fries, available at the Whitney Portal Store".

Hi Where do you start? Is it by saying yup they are going to have a conference this week to explain another adjustment of the location and elevation of things . Federal Geospatial Summit Silver Spring Md. , some might recall reference to Dr. Richard Snay several post ago, he is one of the speakers and Dave Zilkoski will speak maybe a bit on how you figure how high some is. JimQpublic may add a note on this reference to "how high" the general accepted answer is the top but then ...
No I think lets talk about the last few months and the flower hike and the group hike that brought a large number of people to a common place and a sharing of experiences, this weekend we continued that course many are non hikers we have come to know over the years but share the same place. Families return to revisit the area .Stories are told about when and the details of the day. It takes Doug and I several hours to flash back to joking as we cook. I cut more fries he says "I" put 8 in the baskets and you just gave two away now we are four short!
I sneak a short hike with Cayden and Maya to look at the big waterfall and Doug says I thought you were out front taking orders. He knows when people walk past the window several times I have either started talking or drifted off and no one is at the counter. Where's the bathroom ?
I want to say Thanks to everyone for being a part in this experience as we have moved into another year, more stories more flowers, sunrises and sunsets. Thanks Doug
