Can anyone provide a water conditions report for Trail Camp? Do hikers need to treat water there?

Thanks!

I like to fill up from the stream flowing into the trail camp pond. Never filtered, never had a problem.

You're going to get answers all over the board on this one. Some people won't drink that water until it's been filtered, boiled and then treated with chemicals. Others will suck it up directly from the source. If this is your first time and/or there is any doubt in your mind about water quality, bring a filter.

And keep in mind that there is more than one source of water near Trail Camp.

Most people I know don't treat the water. I'm one of them. It depends on your comfort level. To be absolutely safe I'd treat it but chances are you will be OK. Keep in mind there are a lot of newbies on this route and some of them are not as good about keeping dirty dishes, dirty hands after going to the bathroom, dirty clothes, etc away from the streams and lakes.
