Are snow shoes going to be a benifit this weekend? With the recent snow fall of 12 to 18 inches, I think they would be, or is the snow hard enough to walk on?

Don't know what route your are taking, but on the 24th & 25th I went up the NF of lone pine to lower boyscout then up to Carillon - never used or needed snowshoes. The snow was getting soft/sloppy during mid afternoon. Enjoy
