Anybody have any info. on Langley? I'm getting conflicting info. New Army or Old Army? Was considering going July 24th.

I here Old Army pass saves you one mile going up versus New Army Pass.

I will be attempting on August 21st. One day trip.

Good luck to you.

Up New Army, down Army. Looping it allows for different views and experiences on the same trip. NAP is really not that long or difficult that it'll destroy your day or chances of summiting.

Chiming in, how was your trip? Any info on skeeters in Cottonwood Basin?

I asked because I happened to climb Langley on the 24th also, and I met some of the other hikers on the summit. Yes, there were mosquitoes present as I passed through the Cottonwoods Lakes area, but I did not find them unbearable. I went by way of New Army Pass, where there was just a small amount of snow to deal with near the top.

I didn't end up heading up there as I went to my brother's bachelor party instead. I might go in another few weeks though.

I have a trip report from July 31st. We used Army Pass, and we had a fantastic time.
