Wow, since no one took the bait (or has been able to capture the elusive guy)...

"Did you ever hear the one about..."

Bob found this child just above Lone Pine Lake (and returned it to the wilds from which it crawled...)

Bob, now that I see the photos of you I am (pretty) sure that it was you that stayed behind with me as I limped back to Horseshoe Meadow after the AsABat Memorial on Trail Peak in 2012. I didn't get your name that day and never properly thanked you. I was both humiliated by not being able to keep up and in a lot of pain from a bleeding sore on a toe. I know you weren't having much fun, either. I said to you that you didn't need to stay behind with me, I knew where I was and would make it out, but of course you weren't going to leave me out there by myself.
So, thank you, and get well soon. And if I'm mistaken and it wasn't you watching over me that day accept the thank you on behalf of someone else that you helped sometime.
Burt

I don't recall Bob R. being at the AsABat memorial hike, though it is possible my recollection is faulty. But I am pretty sure he was not on the hike.

Well, in that case I still have a long overdue "thank you" to say to someone.

Not sure, but AsABat was on this hike with Bob up Thor, if I remember correctly (upper right)...

Wondering if maybe that was Dale (DBD). Don't have a picture of him from the hike. Here's a group shot from the hike but missing a lot of folks.

Oh, better photos here.

Thanks Akichow. I can't tell anything from the photos. At this point I will just say thanks to whoever it was and to everyone who has helped a hiker.

As I recall it Burt, you said thanks down at the hostel that night. It's just the way we travel.

Best wishes, Bob.

I'm just starting to enjoy the high of peakbagging after almost total disability & massive surgery. I hope that you can return to your former exploits.

And, me mates down here enjoy the "Rockwell Variation" stories.

Dearest Mr. Rockwell;

Mouse & I are coming up.
Would you like to assume your normal photographic position?

=)
