Bet it snows on August 6. Or one of those epic freak Sierra lightning and flooding events that has Myles running up the trail to rescue folks?

2nd time in 16 years I didn't get a permit. My 20th summit starts in line for a walk in permit. At least I got a campsite! Happy hiking.

So can I ask all my training questions here? I mean, how does this work, exactly? You've got the permits at the store, right?

Walked about five miles yesterday, wandering through town while running errands. That counts, right?

I'd ask for everyone to clear out on 26 August so I can have my wilderness experience, mmmmmmkay?

Peace, love, and wildflowers,
L cool

Last update for the construction, the road will be closed Aug 26 just north of and south of Lone Pine no foot traffic allowed but you may take pictures of the area, but not of low flying secret aircraft. They are marked SECRET AIRCRAFT.(on the top of the wing area).
