Does the hostel have an elevator? I hate stairs.

They rigged one of the folding chairs to a come-a-long for me last time I was there. I much prefer it to their "Wallenda" option...

A zipline from the Portal to the second floor of the hostel would be nice.

We are taking the stairs out using "orchard ladders" in the near future. This will cut the stair noise down in room 14 where Earlene and I live in the winter when the trailer(RV no tires on the roof)is 19 degrees when we get up in the morning.

Hey Doug, do you think you can work on a Teletransporter in the off-season? Seems like it would solve a variety of problems...I'm sureJeff M has the blueprints somewhere

I found the Hostel to be very peaceful. I slept well there. Maybe you should change the name to the Whispering Cholla Lodge?

"Excellent tap water (not too tepid!) and great proximity to the Mt Whitney Funeral Home." [4.8 stars.]

I especially liked the soap that comes in little cardboard boxes. The bars are square and snowy white. I put them in my coffee for a week before I realized they weren’t sugar cubes.
