My friend Gary and I just spent four days backpacking out of the Cottonwood Pass area. When done we drove up to the Portal for one of Doug's great burgers. We then asked him that, due to Covid-19, which restaurant in Lone Pine would be better to eat at, either Season's or The Grill. He said that between the two, take The Grill, but then he added that the restaurant that he and Earlene eat at is the Totem Cafe. He said that at the Totem we would be at tables on grass versus dirt or a parking lot. Plus he thought the menu choices were better.

Well we did check it out, and Doug was spot on with his recommendation. We had a great dinner, and top-notch service. In addition, the Totem Cafe offers a baked potato as an option, something that neither Season's or The Grill offer. Bottom line, from now on when we are in town, dinner will always be at the Totem Cafe. Thank you Doug.
