Many thanks Doug, for the link. I never met Bob in person even though we lived in the same town for over 35 years. Wish I had.

When I heard that Some Guy was including his top ranked climbing companions in his will, I asked if we could start climbing together more... I was tied at #63...

I was inspired by the thoughtful, intelligent, and detailed writings of Bob Rockwell on this message board over 20 years ago and as a result, I hear the Sierras constant call. Had the pleasure of meeting some guy on a Whitney hike (9/20/2009). Always a joy to meet a hero in person.
