I’m planning for a one overnight summit on 9/12-13 (camp at Trail camp) and I have two permits good for two nights. I am looking for a climbing partner if anyone is interested. Two buddies have bailed on me and do not want to give up my permits just yet. It will be my first time up Whitney but am a knowledgeable hiker typically only submitting Mt Adams and St Helen’s here in Washington State which I do several times but have always wanted to tackle Whitney.
Anyone want to tag along?

Hi. Are the permits still available? I have hiked Mount Whitney 7 or 8 times and know the trail very well. I am not an avid hiker, but a competitor and in good physical condition, reaching the summit at least 6 out of the 8 hikes. my partner has never been on this trail, either but is looking forward to it! September, in my opinion is the best time to go! Please let me know either way. Thank you! PS.. Hopefully the fires are not an issue!

Yes the permit is still available. I only have two permits and I plan to use one and go unless I cannot find someone to tag along and use the second permit. If I cannot find someone then they both will be available.
My number is 5094303288, text me, Rick Hermann, if interested

You can ask someone to join you but permits can't be transferred.
