Please share with me, how is the best way to find the trail junction leading to Mt Muir from the main Mt Whitney trail.

Thank you

There is no "trail". Mt. Muir is a class 3 scramble from the main trail. Leave the trail at about 13,780 ft. UTM 844472. This is a couple hundred feet below and slightly left of the summit. The route goes up a shallow, loose gully. That is your landmark. Good route finding will keep you to class 3...if it seems harder, you're going the wrong way.

Look for this rock formation past the John Muir trail junction. This pic is looking west.

Then turn east up this slope.

The summit is above the blocks at the top left of this photo.
