Checked my bank account and had a hit on my debit card for the USDA today. Two spots on the mountain. Now when do I get to go? Who cares, I am headed up!

I'm noticing that the chatter has been about credit cards being hit . . . has anyone had their CHECK cashed? We submitted our application with a check, and it has not cleared. Just wondering . . .

I also paid by check and have not seen anything yet. My dates were for a day hike midweek in Aug. or Sept. so I'm not to concerned. I'll post if I see something..

Hi there, this is my first post!!!! Has anyone been notified by mail yet??? This is my first attempt for a permit, so racing to the mailbox everyday! I put in for any overnight and any day between june 19 and aug 24.

This is Shirley from Oregon, submitted for 4, 3-day passes in late July, still haven't had a cc hit. Can't wait to go again!!! It will be a first time trip for my husband if we get the passes. He's not excited YET but once he gets to the top- he'll be begging for next year. Good luck to all hope to see ya at the top!

Okay, so we're now seeing a lot of cleared checks and credit card charges, along with several "well, I don't know the actual date, but at least I know I'm going" posts ... has anyone received the actual permit notification yet?

I have been officially "DENIED!"
I received my "I'm Sorry" letter yesterday.
Good Luck to everyone climbing Whitney this year.
