somewhere that must make sense - but my head is spinning.

Is there a place to pull over near the trailhead and sleep till morning if I drive down Friday night?

Tom: I thought your truck didn't drive south... eek

MC: be nice to these boys! They're fragile! grin wink Hey, girl, would love to see you this weekend but I think I'm going to take it easy on the ol' banged up knee. Maybe finish the job on Mt. Alice or somethin'. Do let me know when you're going to be up OV way again!

Alan: who's in charge of the scotch??? crazy

Big Moosie hugs to all down south,

I saw MooseTracks as last poster on this topic and I thought...she's a comin'!!! I was logging on to send you a PM asking you to join us. I totally understand but what is a WPSMB hike without Moosie! cry I'll definitely give you a heads up when I get back to OV and the beloved Sierras.

Look forward to meeting those of you who show up!

Hey Alan,

Check out Mike's website. He's done it a few times. Really cool website, it gives me something to dream about while I'm wasting away in my cubicle!!!!

Dave, that's one of my fave all-time pics! You know, it's hard to find good hiking partners, but a flying squirrel really comes in handy, say, when you knock you knee at 13K! ACK! crazy BTW: weren't you and Mike both sticking all sorts of extra crap in my pack on that trip? I seem to remember coming off the mountain with a few extra rocks...

Yeah, I think Mike might've done Baldy a few times...

...yesterday afternoon.

Nothing like high-altitude laps... (who luvs ya baby!) grin

I am bringing three landlubbers that don’t own crampons. All have done the trail without much snow but we will see how far we can take them up on Saturday.

Weather report for tonight and tomorrow is calling for 5-7" of fresh snow. That would be sweet if it doesn't turn to rain. If I don't head to Big Bear for some last minute skiing with the wife, I may be up at Baldy.

Tomcat RC

You can park on the road at Manker Flat and sleep in the vehicle if you have an adventure pass, you may also "disperse camp" find a place anywhere but Manker Flat campground (opens May). This was straight from the rangers mouth.
