Looking at doing the MR on the 14 of June! Anyone hear anything? Crampons...ice axe...? I am a quick climber/hiker but weary of bringing others not as agile. Never done the trail b-4

This is the last report from the Mountaineers Route.

It doesn't seem all that snow will be gone by the 14th.

Thanks so much, exactly what I was looking for! Those pics are incredible, a true taste of the mountain!

Spent 5/24-29 acclimatizing @ 10K and it snowed everyday, at least a foot/day. However, the day we ascended/descended 5/30-6/2, weather was perfect, snow level was @ Lower Boy Scout but rapidly melting. Those that summited were using helmets, crampons, harnesses and ice axes. On 6/3, I heard from 3 Texans that they were turned away due to 60 mph winds. Another group of ours went up 6/5 and returning 6/9 and they are reported to have good weather as well. You just never know about the conditions; it's a crap shoot.

Thanks, thinking of just going up as far as weather permits without winter gear (crampons, axe)and just getting used to the area, or maybe some bopping around at Langly...anyway, thanks I got way better feedback than I thought I would to this post!
