Anyone using the Montbell UL SS down versions out there? I'm considering the #1 15F or #2 25F
I had a -20F bag > 4lbs on my first Whitney trip but was still cold in early October. I since got an Exped pad (I know...heavy) but it has made a world of difference in heat and comfort. I hoping to shed a couple lbs. yet maintain some versatility.

Thanks,
Sheila

From what I have heard Montbell makes wonderful bags. I have yet to hear of a complaint actually

I treated myself to the 15deg bag for my birthday and I LOVE it! It's quite possible the coziest and most comfortable bag I've used, and I thought my Marmot bags were the bomb at first! I'll probably be looking into their colder weather bags in the next few years: have to limit my sleeping bag purchases to one/year! smile

Besides, you know, it's orange... shocked

I bought the 25 degree bag in July and absolutely love it. It is the only mummy bag that I feel comfortable in. However, I haven't tried it in weather approaching the 20's yet. I'll be using it on the MT on September 26th and hope to have a cozy night and can report back. If it isn't warm enough, however, I will buy a warmer Montbell. I love the stretchiness of the stitching.
