Hi Ok we didn't get a picture but several weeks ago Laura and I had finished lunch and established the detailed plan for the hike to Boundary , the plan that missed the weather, map ,GPS way points, a spot beacon and a meeting place and start time. Also out of the 4 sides to reach the summit and the many roads, that was not worried out either. I thought we were going hiking not going planning.
We heard jets overhead and flying fast, we started to watch as they twisted and turned in a dog fight fashion over town. This went on for several passes then they turn to the sky almost out of sight the upper craft turns and stalls to "attact" the other plane, the trick worked so well the stalled craft floated down thousands of feet out of power or control looking like a leaf falling to the ground twisting and spinning, then the noise starts as the craft tries to power into control and stop the free fall . It looked like town was going to get some recycle material but the power and luck pulled the plane back to a controled flight. A photo of the free fall would have made for great stories.
The trip to Boundary Peak or somewhere that day was another example of when things start heading downhill, it's a true test of resolve how one adjusts and moves forward the group would make any hike into "a walk in the park" very proud to be with them on that journey . Thanks Doug
