Dear readers and friends:

2008 was a phenomenal year. When I moved to Bishop I had no idea what was in store, that I could actually pull off climbing every weekend, or to reach some of the places I did. I am blessed not only to be able to hike and climb to these heights, but also to share them with you every week. My continued thanks to the moderators for allowing me to post my adventures.

I am surrounded by the best people in the world, and I can't thank them enough for all they have taught me. There are so many places, both here and around the world, that I have left to see and experience myself. Earlene once asked, "You make everything a celebration, don't you?" Well, if it's celebrating life every morning, then, yes. I've found a home at last.

All the best in the New Year, and I hope the next 20 minutes or so provides you with some inspiration for your next year!

Laura,

Awesome, Beautiful, and Inspirational. A Year wrapped up very nicely! I hear that Switchfoot song almost everyday on the radio and I always thought it would make a perfect song for you, well I guess great minds think alike! It fits you perfectly.

Linda and I wish you the best and continued success in your 2009 adventures. We hope to run into you on the trail sometime so Zak and Nik can meet the famous California Moose!

Thanks for sharing,

Ron, Linda, Zak and Nik

Now here is a person who has truly grabbed life by the "horns". What an adventurous 2008. What can be done to improve on 2009? Great report and thanks for sharing with us flatlanders from the beach.

Moosie...

Keep up the awe inspiring work. Your's are large footprints to fill... but I think there are some of us who think we're up to the job of at least giving it a good shot.

Besides... it's fabulous to be hiking with you and hear "Hey.. aren't you..." wink

Keep it up girl... Stay Safe and happy Holidays!

Thanks, gang. It was a lot of hard work to get everything together, and I was glad it all fell into place so well! I can only hope that 2009 will be as prosperous and adventurous: and it all starts fresh on Thursday morning!

Arthur: you're in more than that pic in the vid. I think on of my faves was you and Mike walking the ridge down from Sanny G!

Team Hypoxia ROCKS!

GREAT VIDEO!!!

You are truly an inspiration and on your way to becoming a legend of the E Sierras (actually I think you've made it)

We wish you a very Happy New Year and keep enjoying life to the fullest! Hope to see you on the trail sometime.

Wow what a great video! I want to come back to your place after seeing this. There are not enough high places in Arizona so we need to travel and we will in 2009!

Finally got the 20 minutes to watch all the way through. Mesmerizing for sure. You certainly got 4 seasons in the Sierras. You have made your passion an every week event. Few people get to or take the chance to follow their heart and live out their dreams.I am happy for you and I feel so lucky to be able to share in your experience on this board.Thanks.
Glad to get to meet you in Yosemite.

Wow. Very cool pics and great intro music! (remembering that I stood at the summit and turned slowly to Aaron Copland's "Fanfare for the common man".) Just waiting for February and the lottery. Thanks again for the inspiration!
