I need to get a new rear tyre thrown on , and will plan a trip upto Big Pine for the second half of May . I have studied some recent photos of the East Couloir , seems like there are two sections needing attention . The initial entry to the gully and then a section a few hundred feet up . The 2nd area being a choice between ice on the right , a chimney with or without snow and some 5.4 rock on the left .
I carry a cheap electric air pump on the bike that lets me air down my tyres to help off road . It is then simple to plug in the pump and re-inflate !
