Are you saying that you have a main trail overnight permit reserved for two people with entry on Friday, May 29 and that you are looking for a hiking partner with a similar ability level? If so, are you planning to hike up to Trail Camp on Friday, summit and pack out on Saturday?

You also can check out Note 6 in the Wilderness Permit Options.

That is correct. I am in the Bay Area. Will travel on Thursday, May 28. Entry on Friday, May 29, overnight at Trail Camp, summit and pack out next day, Saturday, May 30.

We hope to summit with a group of 4-5 couples on Friday and will be there at trail camp again that night. I will see you there. Hope the weather holds for everyone's sake.

If we are of similar ability level, would you mind if I tagged along with your group? I am alone on this trip and would be more comfortable with other people.

Conditioning is good and have been up once before (2002). Self-sufficient.

What time will you get started on Friday AM?

Mags,

We are actually going to be at trail camp Thursday night, summit Friday, and then wander back down on Saturday. Looks like we might be a day off. Nevertheless, hope to see you there and we will watch out for you. But if it works out, you'd prolly fit right in.

I am in a light blue ball cap.

Wade -

You and your group are on the mountain. Be safe. I decided to give the permits back, as I was not comfortable going on my own. Also the threat of thunderstorm activity was not appealing.

Hope you had a successful trip.
Mags
