Lots of good ideas in response to Doug's question, along with the silly ones. But I think some stuff is missing.
I would want to do a fast check of the damage, particularly looking for arterial bleeding. If there is, that's priority one. A bandanna and a stick make a tourniquet. If not, I would go into my waist belt pocket, dig out my little pill box, and pop a Percocet. Since I usually hike alone and figure I would have to do a self-rescue in all but the worst cases, I always carry Percocet and Vicodin. They don't mess up my thinking but extreme pain will.
Next, I would consider shock. If I am already going into shock I would deal with that right away.
Only after that would I start dealing with wounds. I carry a Sam E splint (it weighs nothing) and have duct tape wrapped around my pole handles. (Of course, I might have gotten separated from the poles in the fall.) And I would get out my trusty whistle. And so on, as prescribed by Dr. SoCalGirl.
