My son and a friend were climbing high on the ridge at the end of the Crabtree Lakes drainage, in the chute just south of Mt. Marsh. This is just south of Whitney Pass.
Amongst the scree they found a SPOT satellite messenger device.
Has anyone heard of someone looking for a lost SPOT?

Open up the unit and remove the batteries. You will find the unit's serial number.

Call 1-866-651-7768, and tell them you found it.

They can probably contact the registered owner for you.

The clip on the Spot unit is pretty crappy. I make sure I use a lanyard as well as the clip. I hope the new design is better...................................................DUG
