Hi TrailBud!

I will be heading to SoCal this weekend, and will be on the road visiting family. It will be difficult to make anything, so I'll just donate money for any last minutes needs. I think I still have your address from the 2007 High Sierra Topix hike, so I’ll just mail it.

I'm planning on getting in to Lone Pine Friday afternoon some time, so I’ll be available to help with any last minute preparations.

I'll be making homemade ice cream. I have a 6 qt freezer.

The ice cream won't go with cheesecake or chocolate pie. But maybe the pumpkin pie. smile   Yum!

I have a bumper crop of hot peppers & bell peppers, so I'm thinking Hot Pepper Topping. Roasted tomatoes, white onions, bell peppers, suspicious-looking long hot peppers, paprika, white pepper, garlic, onions & olive oil.

Girl Next Door (GND) makes something like this & loves it. Now I can eat Wasabe straight, but she's an off-scale Scofield addict.
If GND ever dies, all they will need for cremation is a match.

Probably not a good ice-cream topping, though.

Downside is that if it is too hot, the only antidote is a cold beer.

Please advise.

PS: two words are missing in this thread - Coffee & Schats

I'll likely have to drive home after the hike. If that's the case, I'll think of something I can "drop and leave". Will know more later this week.
