Thanks, guys.

WW: My BF spotted an entire herd of bighorn on his descent on the westside of Langley a few weeks ago, about 20 cutting down the slope as a group in front of him. But, since it was just around dawn, pics didn't come out too well.

Last few I saw were north, on the western summit ridge of Split...

What a happy surprise, Laura, to see you back on board. I missed you.

Thanks for sharing your horse-experience on Boundary Peak. I’ve hiked amongst the wild horses and donkeys around Lake Meade, but I was quite surprised last month when I climbed Mount Rogers in Virginia. The mountain was loaded with wild horses, which the locals call ponies.

I was pressure breathing up a lower slope of Mt. Rogers when all of a sudden four horses came galloping directly at me. They were almost shoulder to shoulder as they charged towards me. I stopped, wondering if they were going to run me over, but they also stopped. They looked and looked at me as I looked at them. About as soon as I pulled out my camera, they turned tail on me, and loped off. I did manage to snap this picture:

Anyway, thanks, Laura (aka Moosie) for coming back and sharing your interesting TRs and experiences!

Wayne

I've had the same experience many times with large wildlife: deer, elk, bighorn sheep... Every time I ask them if they'll pose for a picture to post on WPSMB they assume that stance.

Thanks, Wayne. Like I said, it's good to be home. Here's to many more adventures! Them ponies look pretty big to me!
