None! smile It was as much of a surprise to me as it was to everyone else. Corina climbed Telescope Peak on Thursday, delivered a pizza to camp on Friday and then climbed Whitney on Saturday!

Thanks everyone for a fantastic weekend, Carole & Mouse for the food and Richard & Doug for putting up with so much BS.

My dear James,

Congratulations. As summit scott has told me a million times, you "get it". Thanks for carrying me along with you up this mountain of dreams.

And as for toddling along under a heavy pack, I think I may have forgotten to warn you about the curse of the Moose: if I touch it, it becomes heavier. Hope it all worked out for you! smile

And now, for once, I ask of someone else: what's next?

Waving and smiling from the heights,
L

James, it couldn't be done any better than that! Climbing in fine style and reporting in fine style. Thanks for taking that on too...

The Blue bird blessed us with his good MoJo and then the Open Sesame tree allowed us passage to the magical land beyond.

"I am flabbergasted" Wow, am I ever. Thanks to EVERYONE for the kind words about the TR. It was a pleasure to share it since without all of you (and the mountains), the TR would not exist.

Laura, thanks, it all worked perfectly! It was about as full as it could be but I know there was probably a way to add more essentials (a stove, canned chili, summit beer, 52" flat screen, the usual camping stuff).

"What's next?" I don't know but with this group I know we'll think of something. See you in the mountains (or the portal, the hostel, the market, the gear shop...

James

Richard – For years I’ve enjoyed your high-quality traditional breathtaking photographs.

Until now I was completely unaware of your Fellini-Warhol-Allen-Bunuel-Bergman-esque talents. The drifting unending tireless monotonous revulsion of dizzying spinning lines, exes and zees – Los Olvidados’ backs and feet, a glove and a boot, down and up caricatures and clowns thrown in ice and cold – the long protracted winter of life, whorls and vortices wheeling axes, meaningless lines lying in blue shimmering mordor. Shadows and darkness hidden between the glare of oddities exposed through the spasmodic tics and cracks of virtue engulfed and intertwined in life’s helix – the maze of unbearable joy and fearless well spoken of mountaineering souls on the endless journey of search, the searching serendipitous solitude of solace – found and lost – lost and found – through Blooty’s blue bird to the real and enchanted kingdom – until claimed by the penultimate longing for a pellucid world mirrored with itself in paradisiac love and peace. Amen my brutha. Tony

It must be getting late - I'm down for next year.
