Maybe not the right forum for this, but....Last year I had serious problems sleeping at Lone Pine Lake....I couldn't decide if I had mild altitude sickness or if it was the damned military jets that flew up and down the valley all night long.
I've never seen anyone mention the noise from the jets, but it was definitely an issue for me. Everytime I would doze off another jet would fly by and I'd be awake again. Do outpost and trail camp have the same issue or are those locations a bit more tranquil?
Every place on this mountain is tranquil at night, if you bring a good pair of ear plugs.
However, the higher I go the more problems I have sleeping. Some of it is the dry air and my bad sinuses but most of it has to do with elevation...even after ingesting Diamox for 4 days.
