Sure was fun being a part of it y'all. Here's the early bird view from Register Ridge. Sorry I didn't get to chat with Steve Larson. But it was good to see Richard at A16.

Sure was windy on Harwood at 8:30. But the views were stupendous.

it was a good hike and great to meet or see again all of you. BUT, I lost one of my good gloves - a blue fleece Black Diamond. If anyone picked it up either leave it at the visitor center if that's convenient or send me a PM and I'll send you $ for postage. Thanks.

Hello Burt.
I just PMed you. I believe your glove was indeed found at the hut after our break on the way down.
Shin or Cindy...going up again any time soon?

I will not be going up until Dec 4th. Next weekend we are diving with Larry's scuba class and it is a big no-no to go under water (pressure) and then go up (less pressure) which increases the risk on getting the "bends" frown

Hi Burt,
I'll be there on Thursday morning to check it out.
I could have asked Pavel who was the hut host. He was heading up the Ski hut this afternoon. Richard,Ryan, and I went to "Mt. Baldy" lodge to check out the weather for 5 hours today. It was too much rain to hike so we went to the Lodge. I am very sure it will there at Lost and Found cage at Ski hut entrance.
I'll get back with you.

I found Burt's glove on the way down. I pm'd Burt and just waiting for a mailing address. We finished the hike too late (close to 6 pm) to drop it off the visitor's center.

Thanks for a great hike everybody!! It was another fun day in the mountains with a great group!! Thank you all for taking a day to come out and join in on the fun. We squeaked that one in right before the storm hit. I would imagine the next time people visit Baldy there will be a little blanket of snow in the ground.

Here are a couple pictures I took from the day. The rest are here: Mt. Baldy November 19, 2010.

Missed out on the climb, but the show was outstanding, as usual.

Thanks Norma and others. My glove has been found and taken down the hill. I will have it back on my cold hands in a few days.

Does anyone know the condition that creates the low clouds such as the ones on the November 19th group hike? I seem to recall seeing a similar condition (photo)that has happened in Whitney in the past where the entire Owens Valley is covered with low clouds which makes for a spectacular sight on the summit of Whitney.. Thanks.

I was thinking about all of you on November 19th (while I was at work). Actually, I thought about some of you, WOW, you had a large hiking group that day so there's no way I could have thought about 'all of you'. It's amazing how a Message Board like the Whitney Portal can bring together so many people. Thank you for sharing your day on Mt. Baldy with the rest of us. Looks like you all had a great time.
